Position: Preventative Health Athletic Trainer

Job Summary:
The Preventative Health Athletic Trainer will be responsible for providing specialized athletic training services with a focus on injury prevention and promoting overall health and wellbeing in athletes. This individual will collaborate closely with athletes, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement customized preventative health programs. Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement individualized preventative health programs for athletes, addressing specific needs and goals.
2. Conduct comprehensive assessments of athletes' overall health and fitness levels to identify potential areas of improvement and reduce injury risks.
3. Collaborate with coaches and other healthcare professionals to integrate preventative health strategies into training programs.
4. Provide education and guidance to athletes on injury prevention techniques, including proper warm-up and cool-down exercises, stretching routines, and nutrition.
5. Monitor athletes' progress and adjust preventative health programs as necessary to ensure optimal performance and injury prevention.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of athletes' health assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
7. Assist in evaluating and managing acute injuries, as needed, in collaboration with the Head Athletic Trainer.
8. Stay current with the latest research and advancements in the field of athletic training and preventative health to enhance knowledge and skills.
9. Participate in professional development activities, such as conferences and workshops, to continuously improve professional competencies.
10. Adhere to all relevant ethical, legal, and professional standards in the provision of athletic training services.
11. Maintain a safe and clean working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
2. Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) designation from the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).
3. Valid state licensure as an Athletic Trainer.
